well I happen to be a huge football fan (soccer for you americans , the official word is football though) I played it to from since I was six till 2 years ago I still watch my team by the way my twin plays in it but I can't play anymore I have an ankle injury (I broke my ankle when I was 8 in a car accident it broke in two places after that it didn't heal as it should and two years ago it started to really hurt and they found a fragment of bone on the wrong place so they had to do surgery and than this doctor cut my ankle band in two and didn't repair it so I won't be able to play anymore.. ) but anyways I love sports and baseball looks like a really cool sport but I can't watch it overhere I'm rooting for the dodgers but I can't watch and I don't quite understand the rules or the competition it's way more complicated than football lol... Oh by the way I just finished reading silence of the lambs it's a really good story the movie is pretty good to (though I'm not much of a horror fan and hanniball kind of is)

I never said I was good at it lol no I played football well and I love football (I wasn't really good but I wasn't bad either) but PE thank god I don't have to do that anymore I never had much interest in a lot of different sports, though Baseball sounds cool 2 me. Anyways I was bad at it we played stuff like field hockey and softball and I literally sucked at it.. I didn't like it either hockey always gave me a back ache and what I especially disliked was atheletics you know like running and than jumping over those things and just running, and jumping over this rope see how high you come :S I never liked that.. lol yeah I wasn't very good at basketball either.. lol
Yeah horror movies suck I don't like them a lot of times there isn't a decent plot in it either.. Anyways I do look thrillers and detectives though!

I've read... umm... Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet... Umm... Umm... Oh, I've just realized I haven't read anything more written by Shakespeare !... That's bad... Ha, but I loved both of the plays I've read. I could understand them because I read them in Spanish. However, when trying to read "Midsummer's Night dream" in English, I didn't understand like... half of it

Title: Vanity Fair Author: William Makepeace Thackeray Publisher: Penguin Popular Classics
I have to admit that at first I was somehow bored and I felt that the book was never to end. I took a lot of time reading it. It was truely one of the greatest books ever written. The author tells us how people lived in vanity fair. You get to see how people really live. You have to read it before you die... It holds a great story of love and devotion! Even though it was written decades ago, I could relate so much to what I was reading. It is a great read and charachters are amazing in how they were written! Great language, valuable lessons! I do believe that the writer excelled in this novel! I can not say anything more... The book is just stunning!

Okay guys!I finally read the much-talked-about "The Alchemist", by Paulo Coelho. And I must say I really enjoyed it!
It's a masterpiece for sure and you have to admire the way the author gives valuable lessons of life through the well-crafted and mystical tale. The tale is profoundly inspiring and truly magical. You can empathise with Santiago (the protagonist of this story) in all the situations he goes through.
The tale is fictional, but the emotions, trials and the conflicts that the characters go through, are true to life.Though at some points in the story, I felt I couldn't understand what was happening in the story, but as you read it to the end you do realise what the author has tried to convey. It's a beautiful story and can ignite your imagination as you read it.Some of the author's quotes in this book, are eye-opening.
Finally, I think I'll give it a 9/10.I deducted 1 mark because at times, I felt it was too mystical to understand.Otherwise, it's a great book and everyone ought to read it at least once in their life time.

I am currently reading 'Emma' for Jane Austin! I haven't read much but it really looks pretty good! I just love the language they used in such novels that were written in the 18th, 19th century! it really is kinda sophisticated! but not hard to understand too!

Thanks Noor!I missed being here too!
I have read both "Emma" and "Vanity Fair", and both these books are excellent!Though it's been 5-6 years since I last read them, but I still remember their plots and characters.I found 'Vanity Fair' to be better.
It's like I'll give an A+ to 'Vanity Fair' and an A to 'Emma'.

Book: Emma Author: Jane Austen Publisher: wordsworth classics
It didn't take much time to finish 'Emma' and it was a very enjoyable time spent reading it. I must admit that after finishing the whole work of Jane Austin I feel that there was/is no equal for her in writing. Even if her writings seem boring at times, they hold the greatest life lessons. In 'Emma', for an example, you get to learn how vanity can blind one's self and make it decieved. Emma is a 21 years old and thinks that she knows everything and is right at all times. The environment that surrounds her does a great deal to help blossoming her vanity. She discovers her faults along the way of meeting new friends. She sets her heart and mind on never marrying in her life, thus she lives her life carrying a special air.
She likes match-making and believes she has a good skill at it. She is disspointed to find that this is not where she excells and leaves it all. With sweet twists and a lot of self discovery... It is what the novel is filled with, I do believe Jane Austin got out of her skin and this is not like any other novel she had written. At times I just thought of one thing 'how will this be resolved?' and I was astonished by the brilliance of the book. Great gentlemen of course a big part of the book, I am just fascinated by them. True gentlemen that you can not help but admiring through out the time reading the book. I'd miss alot of my leisures, but I can not help wishing to have lived in such times.

Title: Angels and Demons Author: Dan Brown Publisher: Corgi
Robert Langdon wakes up by a call from a scientist telling him that a murder took place this evening in the place he works in. He asked for Robert's knowledge in symbology. The novel's events don't take more than two days in taking place. It was a book that I couldn't just put it down. I must admit it is so well written and done that I was left stunned. It was the kind of book that you just want to keep on reading until you finish it. The facts in it are so very amazing and you are left to wonder if they are true because I feel that most of them, if not all, are true. It is one of the most brilliant pieces I've ever came across. It fills you with faith and awe. I just can't say more than everyone must read this book. Dan Brown excelled in it. I simply LOVED IT.
