Title: To Kill A Mocking Bird Author: Harper Lee Publisher: Heinemann
The book is from the eyes of nine year old girl, who is still trying to understand people. The book takes place in Maycomb, it is about the oppression that the black people got. and how one person stood for a black man who's very honest but gets convicted because his word is against a white girl's word. So at that time a white person's word is above any other word. The book really succeeds in taking you to another place in time. I have to admit though at first I thought the book extremely boring but as the story evolved I was really into it. I suggest you read and let the book take you to another place, let it make you forget how old are you and start seeing the world as just someone who still needs so much to understand and just see the world as a 9 year old who is struggling to make people believe that she understands what is happening! One last thing was that I have no idea why is it called to kill a mocking bird so if anyone knows, please explain to me.
My rating: 8\10

that's my job in here! I kind of now got the meaning of the name.... I'll quote sumthing from the book: "They don't do one thing but sing their hearts out for us. That's why it's a sin to kill a mockingbird'' so basicly thats why its called 'to kill a mockingbird' but wat I still can't figure out is wat does the meaning have to do with the story! um gona try and uncover that mystery

Well, I'm a HUGE Chicago Cubs guy. I live in Milwaukee, so I also like the Milwaukee Brewers. Baseball is great! We should create a sports thread too.
