yeah I love Dan Brown's books, he's a great writer.. his latest novel Deception Point is a master piece as well.. Angels and Demons is one of my favorite books, it's awesome it takes place before The Da Vinci Code by the way.. I don't get why they didn't make this one the first movie instead of the Da Vinci Code.. and TDVC the 2nd one..
What I'm very excited about is that tonight the new HP book will premiere ;D !! Can't wait gonna go to the store first thing tomorrow, the english copy will have to do as the Dutch one will come out in stores in October or November

Author: Paulo Coelho Book: The Devil and Miss Prym A thought provoking story of our nature as human beings... A stranger visits Viscos , a calm small village where everyone is thought to be good and peaceful , and in Viscos this stranger makes an offer to the villagers in quest of an answer to one of the most simple yet troubling questions ever : Are all humans bad( evil) ? this stranger provokes the villagers to commit a crime by offering an amount of gold enough for the whole village and the stranger uses Chantal ( miss Prym) as his messanger.... Chantal gets trapped in this offer and so are the villagers.... but will the stranger who's in quest of both answers and revenge find out his satisfying answer of whether we are essentially good or evil ? Read and find out for yourself ... I can only say that this is a must for all those who enjoy such simple philosophy my rate : 9\10

Title: Veronice decides to die Author: Paulo Coelho Publisher: HarperCollins
'and all of us, one way or another, are mad' Who can defy that sentence?? This book is about a young lady named Veronica who takes her life away but wakes up to find herself locked up in a mental hospital with only a few days to live. She decided to die because life wasn't great nor was it horrible, because she lived her life without doing anything she wanted, because her life had no meaning whatsoever. There were times when I was like 'What on earth is she doing?' but on the whole I loved the book since it teaches you lessons that are so valuable. What is the purpose of leading a life that was not meant for you? The lessons that I found in this book were told in such a simple way even though the events that take place are far from happening in real life! I just think it is GREAT!
My rate: 10/10 (I'm a huge fan of Mr.Paulo's so I just can't but give it a ten)

What unanswered questions do you have about book 7? I am a Harry Potter devoted reader! Well, I finished "Yerma" some days ago. It was written by Federico García Lorca, a world known Spanish author, during the Spanish Civil War. (I had to read it for a class, ugh). Yerma means "barren" or sterile in English, as the whole play evolves around a woman that wants to fulfil her role in society and in her family by having a child to take care of, but cannot. Her frustration towards this issue rapidly increases in the four act-play, making her be rejected by society and unsure of what to do, as she wants to have children but also wants to be loyal to her husband (whom does not want to procreate). It ends up with the climax of the story, where she breaks social rules, but I won't say anything else as it would ruin it for those who want to read it Rating: 6/10 Yup, I do not like Lorca's plays that much. Yerma's obsession is very realistic and crude, and this just does not fit with women's role nowadays. It becomes repulsive and has way too many "songs". However, it definitely is one of the great plays of the XX century and follows an accurate structure, portraying rural society's ideals in Spain, so I cannot give it a lower mark than that! Cooool, I sound like an intellectual

Title: The RainMaker Author: John Grisham Publisher: Arrow Books
Rudy Baylor is a young lawer who just finished his studies in Memphis University. He has a million dollar case in his hands against an insurance company. He has a rough start but manages to pull through. The book is so very engaging that you can't put it down, as Rudy struggles with his career he begins to question the choice he made in studying law. I have not the least idea about law or any of these kinda stuff but I managed to comprehend the book fully. I recommend it highly, it is a great read!

Title: The King of Torts Author: John Grisham Publisher: ArrowBooks
Clay is a lawyer who works at the Public defender's office. He has been there for five years and everyday thinks about quiting. His job isn't what he has always dreamt of. Luckily he opens his own firm and starts earning millions of dollars. Everyone wonders where does he get all of that money but he just tells them 'I've got a secret source'
It's about how money can change a person, and how do we face it. I liked it. I think it's a nice story about someone who gets caught up in money and in a material world. Clay finds himself spending millions on law suits that he's not even sure of the information he has.

Title: Chronicle of a Death Foretold ("Crónica de una Muerte Anunciada") Author: Gabriel García Márquez Published: about 1981 in Colombia Personal rating: 9/10 Well, this possibly is my last post during the next week or so. Anyways, some of you may already know that García Márquez is one of the most acknowledged Latin American authors of contemporary literature and is famous due to his closeness to the Latin American narrative "boom". This book is a must read! Like.. really. You HAVE to read it. And I have read it for the 3rd time now, cuz I have my individual oral commentary on Monday . Ok, so this story is evidently the story of a man (Santiago Nasar) that is already dead. The narrative perspectives and time shifts makes it brilliant and shows why García Márquez is so da.mn good -excuse my English. My best argument for saying it is so good is the end. It's my favourite ending of all times. I just love it. And I hope you will It's a 9 and not a 10 because the descriptions sometimes are just too raw for my innocent (HA) soul, but many have agreed that this just shows the corruption of human nature. Bla bla bla, bye!

It's been a while since I posted in here, and I don't think I can write reviews right now, cuz the books I've read are either too short or too boring well I've completed 'Adventures of Huck Finn' which was boring and sorta pointless. And what more, is that it could've screwed my English I've also finished 'Lady Susan' by Jane Austin which was a novel on the shape of a series of letters exchanged between the characters in it. It was a really good read and I'd recommand it strongly. And I read 'Alice in wonderland' and I really liked it. I'm reading 'Tess of the D'ubervilles' which is really interesting for Thomas Hardy. I'll write a review on it once I finish it inshallah!

Title: Tess of the D'urbervilles Author: Thomas Hardy Publisher: e-books! (I think that's the name cuz i read it on Huda's iPod) Tess is a well-educated girl, she's a simpleton though. Her family is really poor. They find out that they have an orgin from a once very respected family. They send Tess to claim kin from those who have remained from their family. Tess finds only trouble there, her cousin plays on her and makes her pregnant. She moves back to her parents' house and it is a scandle for her to give birth to a child without being married. Her child died and she moves away to work in a farm so that she wouldn't bring more bad reputation and mischief to her family. She meets a well respected man and they fall in love. He wants to marry her, but since of her past she declines thinking her self unworthy of him... I think that's saying too much already, anyhow the book was interesting but yet, I found it to be very plain... I think sometimes the author in this book uses beautiful discriptions of places and about Tess's condition! My rate: 6/10
