just about all the Dem nominees have stated that they won't pull out and end the war if they become president. Hillary said that she couldn't promise that the troops would be back before the end of her first term (2013).

Well, of course, we can't just vote on the war issue allone. Once we're out of Iraq, than what are we going to do?

Right Right, good point. Of course the person would have to have a stance on other issues; but, in my opinion, the Iraq War will determine who wins the White House. There are just so many opinions about the war!

The view on what to do with Iraq is pretty solid for both sides, either way, we're going to be there for a while. The Dems will stay there until it is stable enough to leave, while the Reps will stay there until it is stable enough to grow and run it self. So the things we need to look at are the issue where the canidates differ. All the Dems have the same view of the war, so now you need to select down from that to a single canidate to support.

True, he is the only one that is saying that (except for leaving a few military personnel to protect the US embassidors and such), but what are his other positions for running the country after we get out? Once we're out, do you still like him?

I'm not actually sure. I'm not a true supporter of him, but I believe that his opposition of the war is right!

I find that it is a good test to see where you are, and you can compare yourself to Senetors to see who you match up to, and you can just see where you are on a political map.

Wow! I checked the Senate quiz, and I match Herb Kohl, who is the Senator of my state (WI)! Haha. Very cool!

Yes, that is the problem with me too; I can't vote yet. But, we can all still support candidates (go to rallys, pass out flyers, etc.) even though we can't vote.

well... 60% Dennis, 58% Barack Obama, 53% Hillary Clinton I would like to ask you what are the differenced between Democrats and Republicans? Why aren't there any parties?

Hey Haris. The Democratic Party and the Republican Party are the most popular political parties in the government. Anyone else, besides the Green Party, is considered an Independant.

And is there any difference between what each of them supports?

Yes. Democrats would be more left on the political scale, than Republicans. Democrats support Abortion and against the Death Penalty. The Republicans are the oposite. Most, not all, of Republicans support the war, while Democrats don't. It's unusual to see Democrats and Republicans to get along and ever agree on anything
