Well, I think we should be making more of an effort to combat global warming than fighting for "freedom", as the Bush Administration says. Goodness, c'mon now! We're talking about the future of the earth, who cares about our political battles? No, it SHOULD be a big deal. Global Warming has had a HUGE impact on our world. Not just the increase of temperature, but in the increase of death. I think it will eventually make a even BIGGER difference on the world, so thats why we need to take action right now! I saw this wonderful and poweful movie called "The Inconvinient Truth" by Al Gore (political candidate 2000 VS Bush). Find out more here: www.climatecrisis.net/Well I think it should be a collaboration between NGOs and the governments of the world. Maybe we can change how the government looks at things... besides money.

yea I have heard of that movie, seen its ad! seems rily great.... and I think that NGOs and the government should difently work together cuz well the governments have the funds to take care of this issue! but all they have is greed and the money they have, they don't think about how they want to make the best of it... they just think of how they'll add more and more to it! plus I would like to know that hundreds -maybe thousands\millions- of generations will live after me and still the earth can be a good place to all! we all should care for our enviornment! ;D

Global warming has caused serious changes in our climate. This is really having an adverse effect on our agriculture.Crops get spoiled and to prevent the spoilage of the produce farmers use excessive amounts of pesticides and chemicals which in turn is seriously affecting our health and giving rise to new diseases.
This phenomenon must be controlled as soon as possible otherwise, its long-term effects will be irreversible.

Thanks a lot Noor and Zach!! We, in India, have had to pay a very heavy price because of global warming.Already, the Indian monsoon was unpredictable and during the recent years, it has become more & more unpredictable.Indian scientists have observed evidence that the monsoon is being affected by global warming. The deluge has increased two fold over the last fifty years but this is the first time scientists have found evidence based on observation. It has been found that between the years 1951 and 2000, the temperature rose by half a degree. Since 1951, instances of very heavy rains every year have gone up from 8 to 18. Spells of moderate rain are going down. This changing trend of the monsoon has made us more vulnerable to disasters such as floods and landslides.Last year, there were massive floods in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra, in which hundreds of people were killed. In 2005, the floods in Bombay caused a lot of damage. Many people died and many went missing. The extreme events have shown significant increase in the 50-year period and this has implications on disaster management. "Be prepared for such events to occur more frequently. It is consistent with what would be expected in a global warming scenario," said Dr Goswami, a scientist from the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology. From an even spread, the mean rainfall has spread to heavy showers now.And this means bad news for the farmers as well as the common man.Almost half the country's workforce works in the fields. As agriculture will be affected, water resource availability will be affected and therefore livelihoods of a large number of people will be affected. With global warming on the rise which means very heavy showers in store, we need to prepare better in terms of town planning, weather forecasting and highly adaptable crops. But sadly, the government isn't bothered about this issue and has not built measures and actions that would help us adapt to these changes. This problem of global warming and climate change has huge implications not just for India, but for the planet as a whole.Disasters like the Tsunami and floods are bound to increase as global warming continues to rise. For the sake of industrial expansion & progress, we're playing with the lives of thousands of innocent humans besides putting our own lives at risk.

so you're talking about global warming! I thought I have some things to say: it is not so noticable but going back in the past and then come back to the present then you can see the huge difference! and you can also kinda imagine how it's going to be in the future! so it's a really important thing that going to happen to the earth! and it is already happening! with the smokes that comes from everywhere! and others things! I think I heard that trees effect also on "global warming" so imagine things we cannot live without like trees help to increase the tempreture of earth! so its such an important problem that we're facing!

Anyone seen The Day After Tomorrow? That's were we're heading to, and maybe climate changes are inevitable but the global warming is atleast making the changes go faster. It's speeding things up and making it worse. So yeah it should be on the top of our agenda among some other pressing issues, global warming should become a top priority. I think the Al Goore movie is in theaters here now, so I think I'm gonna check it out, some movie theaters have said they would show it for free 'cause of the importance of this movie.

Climate is strange!Hotter somewhere, colder somewhere else!
