Victoria, thank you for the link. Good information. Anyway, there is a possibility that I will be attending a global forum on global warming and climate change at the United Nations in NY. If ever, everything that I will learn, will surely be shared on this board.

In some creepy way, a good side is that it benefits the gigantic petroleum companies that pollute our air That they are getting richer and richer at the minute by the melting of our ice caps! How cool is that? (this is an irony of course!)

ahhh... ohk I thot there were actually some 'real' benifits but I can see how it helps those comapnies and factories! I don't think proper awareness is being spread around! I mean it is very alarming that very few things r being done and the publicity this thing is getting is very low. most ppl around me don't know what global warming is....

Hey
I read in a dutch paper today that the Ozon layer is becoming thicker again, it's restoring itself.. That's a good sign right? I mean we're nowhere near being good.. but it's start right?

Really? I'll have to search for it. Thats good news (well in my opinion:)), but we've still got a way to go!

I saw it in one of the newspapers, skincancer (due to UV radiation) would go down in the Netherlands within the next 30 years because the ozon layer is getting thicker again...

Wow its really great news but, as Zach said, we still are a long way to go. Theres global dimming, too, which is caused by the accumulation of particles on the atmosphere, and radiation (if we keep thinking that nuclear power will save us) may also increase at an exponential rate... Mmm well, at least theres some hope!!

Global Warming is a problem. All those gases that are produced daily from humans destroy our atmosphere, causing problems like animal extinction, ice melting in Antarctica, climate change. We can stop them by planting trees, using Public Means of Transport or our bicycle, turning completely of the TV and any other appliances, signing petitions that are sent to Politicians and to the European Parliament and the United Nations. As future citizens of this world we should live in a world with fresh air and natural conditions.

yeah, i think the same as harisstavr xD we have the RIGHT to live in a world with fresh air =) but we also have duties as well =.= such as... mmm.... keeping it clean? yay! i luv those ideas, and it'd be nice if u could help us gather some more for instance the easiest solution for me would be to create factories that have a chemical compund (as the waste which goes to the atmosphere) that is able to dissolve and decompose green gases into harmless substances. This will give us da time to develop new tech to keep it clean and pretty since researches take their time

Personally, I wish that the IPCC won the entire prize (Gore didn't do any of the science). But what do you think that we should do as an effort to combat Global Warming?

We must each do our part! From changing all our lightbulbs to Incandescent Lightbulbs (I'm trying to convince my parents , to simple things like reusing our old paper bags; I use mine to collect my dogs *you know what*. Hehe.
