I think we should have a thread like this. Here are some questions I think you should think about:
- Do you consider yourself an activist? If so, what issues are you passionate about?
- Do you think activists actually do something to help society? If so, what do they do?
Lets discuss these, and other questions you might have!

Do you consider yourself an activist? If so, what issues are you passionate about? Well kind of, I mean with this organisation we try to raise awereness and try to find some solutions to world problems. I'm very much against war, injustice and violence.. I'm passionate about poverty and HIV.. so yeah maybe..
Do you think activists actually do something to help society? If so, what do they do? It kind of depends on the activist, people like Martin Luther King in my eyes were activists and they reached their goal but it's really the method you use... So my answer is: most activist do...

Well, I think I decided I was. I think activism is really important to society, why waste time? It's the FUTURE! .. The biggest for me is probally Peace, as well as Poverty and maybe AIDS.
- Do you think activists actually do something to help society? If so, what do they do? Oh yeah! We are doing big things for the world. How do you think Vietnam ended? Publicity from activists (former hippies)

- Do you consider yourself an activist? If so, what issues are you passionate about? By the moment I don't, so much, because I've remained very focused with schoolwork and this sort of things, but I'm graduating this year and will probably have a lot more time on 2008 to dedicate myself to activism. Also, in school we do social work and go to schools in "low class" districts to help kids and teach them courses like English, how to use the computer and read them stories. I am passionate about Education and Poverty, this is why I will probably study Sociology and Political Sciences And Literature, but that's not got so much to do with it. - Do you think activists actually do something to help society? If so, what do they do? Sure! In 'recent' history, we have Gandhi and MLK, who did really amazing stuff. For nowadays I give the famus Bono example, but I'm sure there are many more people devoting their lives to activism.

I think we should have a thread like this. Here are some questions I think you should think about:
- Do you consider yourself an activist? If so, what issues are you passionate about? At the moment I have a lot of problems with my family/school, anyway I'm trying to talk to teachers in school to take time to talk about the problems that are troubling the Earth. We don't do social work and there is discrimination everyday, that's why I think we should do something in the institutes. I am passionate about discrimination, I mean racism/religions/etc.! Religion is one of the threads that I love because I went to different religious schools and the thoughts are so different and sometimes they don't make place to other people.
- Do you think activists actually do something to help society? If so, what do they do? Yeah! I think the important thing is that people is conscient about the world and the problems that are around us everyday, and that's great. Later the goals can be reached or not, but the thoughts have an influence in society, and get more people involved.

- Do you consider yourself an activist? If so, what issues are you passionate about? I don't think that I am an activist so much, because I want to finish school and pass into a nice university. But I am aware of many Environmental problems and help in any way that I can, like recycling paper, going to school and to other places on foot .... - Do you think activists actually do something to help society? If so, what do they do? Certainly yes. They change energetically the way of thinking of people. They "fight" against many mistakes and desicions bad for the issue they support taken by the politicians. There are many examples in history that prove that they can help. For example Greenpeace in my country achieved to a better environmental policy.

- Do you consider yourself an activist? If so, what issues are you passionate about? I think I'm not an activist yet, because I wanna focus in my study, but someday I want to be an activist about how technology and science can help our world, or environment topic like Greenpeace or WWF. Actually I prefer to create non-polluted technology, like robotic. Someday, I'll do it...
- Do you think activists actually do something to help society? If so, what do they do?
Yes! But some of them are helpful and the others aren't. The helpful activists, I think, are activists that can help for our world's problem, like Greenpeace, or humanity organisation that handle war's victims, etc. Can u imagine, our world without them? If no one care about our world problem, ohh...But there are some activists that are make our world become bad, like jihad forces. I think they aren't wise, they think that with their way they can help, but actually don't. They just make the situation become worst.
So, become a wise person, and if u wanna be a good activist, do it! Solve our problem, like humanity crisis in the third world, our polluted-environment...
