Hi, my name is Adriana and I'm a high school student in Portland, Oregon.
Because I am so interested in what other people my age have to say around the world, I am starting a project to consolidate internationall voices in a small publication that will be distributed throughout my city, and elsewhere if possible. I think it is important that all youth are introduced to and can meaningfullyparticipate in a global community where a real diversity of ideas can be exchanged in a way that opens our eyes the the vast richness of our planet and helps us find ways to bring its communities together.
The purpose of my project is to create a collaborationn of global expression so that youth all over the world can get their voice out there for others to experience and learn from. I will personally self-publish the magazine/newsletter style production and distribute it on a periodic basis. As editor, I will make the choice of what to include in each publication, but the point is to be as inclusive as possible. The first edition will be somewhat experimental and will not be limited by any central topic or focus other than to hear what other young people have to say and getting it out there. Therefore, the scope of what you can submit is broad to say the least. Creative writing, visual art, opinion pieces and commentary, news reports, recipes, and music or entertainmentt reviews would all be fantastic things to share.
So if you're interested in getting your work published, or have any questions about the magazine, please email me at adriana7055@gmail.com. I hope to hear from you!

Hi, I'm from the Uk and I have friends who have set up a multilingual website, which I firmly believe can bring people together globally. The site attempts to overcome language barriers by providing for translations of every post into 10 languages. This means that a person who only knows Chinese can talk to someone who only knows English, via the autotranslation. I know this sounds like an ad - and in a way it is. But I am advertising this site because I believe that it can help. If good people from different countries can discuss problems, surely the world will be better for it - even if it cannot be considered a panacea, by any means. Anyway, the website is www.worldjumper.net/. At the moment, there aren't many users and the site is in a development stage. However, you can post and start discussions with people. Give it a go, if you're interested.
