Zach u are right... some people actually believe that US Athletes are taking "drugs" for their performance.. illegal drugs, but because America is a rich and powerful country... IOC does nothing.... .I don't know what to believe... ... It's fantastic to see for example an athlete like Phelps... he is amazing... but that reminds me also another great Swimmer, (I think he was american, but not sure) who won lots of gold medals and he quitted before an anti-doping control... Really dont know what to believe about the games... there were many cases in the past "covered" by the IOC...

Hey did anybody hear about the environmental side of the Olympics in Beijing? I heard that the Chinese authorities are doing their best to clean the air and try to make the games greener. Because Beijing's air is polluted, and so it's not healthy for the athletes who are competing there. I think it's great that it's held in Beijing so that hopefully it'll be a greener city after the Olympics.

I think population has to be considered. I usually divide the population of each country by its gold medals at the end, to get a clearer picture. Great opinion, kiwi!! Karma for you!

But athletes definately have to take doping tests, but who gets to see those results? Definately not the public!

So how did the Beijing Olympics go? What was your overall view of the games? What was your favorite/least favorite part? What would you have changed? Lets continue the discussion!

Hmm... I was expecting more from the Greek Athletes, but I am happy that we had a good performance..... I was really sad, when we lost the last 3 points in Basketball from Argentina.. .I mean.. we could have won... but nothing like that happened, so.. If I had the opportunity, I would change the last 8 seconds of the game... Anyway... I liked the Closing Ceremony more than the opening one... but I was so sad and depressed in the Closing Ceremony.. Now what?... 4 years to wait ?

*gasp*! Just kidding, Haris! Actually, I think it would be better if another country hosted (since Salt Lake City hosted just a few years ago for winter).. but it would be so great if Chicago really got it, because it is only about 2 hour drive from here, and would help my city's economy!

Okay, so what should countries in the future do to make their olympics better? Would you like YOUR town or city to be a future Olympic host city? Why or why not?

I believe that Developed countries should fund an African country to host the olympic games! It's unfair for Africa... I mean only Europe America and Asia?...
furthermore, olympics in Africa could help people there, could help poverty and would definately make their lives better,....

I completely agree with you, but a project like that could take many years to be set up, so I don't think that 2016 is the right year for it Karma for you Haris, great point! It would definately be a great Olympics for the future!
