That's so cool... well for me I get to see a lot of diversity since I come from Iraq and here I am in Oman and there are alot of ppl from other countries like Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Syria, Palastine and other and we get to know how they lived in their countries! but it sometimes gets u discriminated against.. which isn't the greatest part in diversity! but on the whole it makes life interesting....

Most people who are open-minded live with people or communicate with people who are from different races... because if you just have one race and you're only dealing with it then I don't think you'd be as much open-minded... diversity makes life more fun and it always fascinates me, how people are the same -all humans- with this differences like the language or their traditions, their way of thinking... thats why it's fun to go out of your country or -in the same country- meet people from different backgrounds, religion.. to know what's out there ;D

Oh! here diversity is important, but it's all relative... We got a lot of inmigrants from Bolivia, Perú and Paraguay. They work and they won nearly nothing as a salary. Then there are a lot of phrases to discriminate them, and also jokes comparing people with these inmigrants. That is really awful anyway, then we say there are not jobs because they have them all! that's a lie because we just let the worst jobs to people from other countries. Buuuut if you come here from Europe or US, then we will treat you like you were a King/Queen. And if you come from Asia, people usually will think you're a terrorist/you just want to stole our money. That's why there are a lot of people from China, Corea or Japan and everyone see them like they are thiefs. It's really sad to see they have 'neighbours' to live, separated from the rest of the population. Here in Argentina we should fix the situations. But the magazines are doing jokes about it all the time, there aren't discussions of the thread, so I think it will be difficult to change.
