Hey, I wanted to contribute with South America Wrongly known as Latin America (which derives from Latin tongue people). Now there are some members that live in this beautiful continent or half-continent, depends on how they taught you Geography, really! First of all, throughout our independence, our military governments and wealthy leaders, we South and Central Americans have always had the same history at relatively the same periods of time. For instance, right now there are several governments which hold "dictatorships", such as Fidel Castro in Cuba, Evo Morales in Bolivia and Hugo Chávez in Venezuela. The relationship between religion and power has always been strong, as during the 1950's with general Juan Domingo Perón in Argentina and his alliance with the Catholic Church. And yeah, most of us are Catholics. Can anyone contribute with something more? Or do you want to know something about our way of living? Anyways, my breaktime has finished so I have to leave the library! Hehe, take care everyone!

I was going to make this thread! we have conection, Vic xD. We can talk about life in our countries, if we are from South America. And I'd like to know what do you know about us! is really interesting to learn how our countries are represented in the world. By the way, I'm from Argentina, and most of people says they know us for meat, "mate", "gauchos" or football but that's not everything really!

I feel proud of Peru for the following: 2nd place: scenery. It has it all xD from jungles, to highlands and snows, and two different kinds of beaches, the caribbean type and the cold one. Here are some trips that tourists tend to make www.latinotravel.com.pe/paquetes/perubasic.htm1st place: PERUVIAN FOOOOD!!! 2nd place worldwide guys It's so WONDERFUL! I suffer when I go abroad and do not eat my food. I'm very capricious about what I eat =P if I had a boyfriend he'd spend all his money in buying me food xD Anyway here are some pics
