Haha Nope. There is no difference. You actually just say "que tal?", without estas. Right Vic? I'm pretty sure about that.

Ah good question, Noor! Most of us teenagers now say "Sorry" instead of "Lo siento" (phonetically loh - cee - en - toh) or "Perdón" (which would be the correct way of saying it in Spanish . Adults still use the latter. We sometimes use "Please" instead of "Por favor" (por fah - bore), but mostly we use the Spanish way of saying it. There are various ways of saying "Hello" in Spanish for teenagers, such as "Hablaaaa" (which actually means talk), we sometimes use "Helloooo" itself, then the usual "Hola" or any other sound that comes up in our minds instead of a hello . Although this is Peruvian slang, so I am not sure if it is practiced in all Spanish speaking countries!

Pobrecito: Poor baby
Definitely my favorite and most overused Spanish phrase.

Hey kingorseolo! Thanks for posting . Actually pobrecito means poor-thingy, not necessarily baby, as we call babies "Bebés" (pronounced beh beh). Nevertheless, it's still a funny word!! So here is a karma!

Hahaha, well, it makes sense that my friend who used the term in reference to me probably dumbed down the translation for efficiency when I yelled at her to tell what she called me. Honestly, I don't know if "poor thingy" is the best English translation though either, as my senses and spell check are telling me...

Yay! Spanish centre xDDD
Here's some contribution:
Gender Different from English, every word in Spanish is either male, female or neutral. Obviously Niña (Girl) is a female word and Niño (Boy) a male one.
Instead of THE, there are 3 articles
El- for male words La - for female words Lo - for neutral words
So, we have the following
La niña (the girl) El niño (the boy)
And we also have neutral words such as correcto (right / right thing).
Lo correcto (the right thing)

Ohhhh, I'll help! I'm actually not a native Spanish speaker, haha, but I'm not planning to contribute anything...that difficult, so it should be all right. What better way to learn than through conversation? A: Hola! (Hello!) B: Hola! Que tal? (Hey! How are you?) A: Muy bien, gracias. Y tu? (Very good, thanks. And you?) B: Asi asi, gracias. Como te llamas? (All right, thanks. What's your name?) M: Me llamo Miguel. Y tu? (My name is Michael. And you?) B: Me llamo Alicia. Cuantos años tienes? (My name is Alicia. How old are you?) A: Tengo 15 años. Tengo que irme, lo siento, hasta luego! (I'm 15. I have to go, sorry, see you later!) B: Hasta luego! So... Hello - Hola Goobye - Adios See you later - Hasta luego See you tomorrow - Hasta manana My name is _______ - Me llamo _______ How are you? - Que tal? or Como estas? How old are you? - Cuantos años tienes? I'm ___ years old - Tengo ____ años. And for the age thing 1 - uno 2 - dos 3 - tres 4 - cuatro 5 - cinco 6 - seis 7 - siete 8 - ocho 9 - nueve 10 - diez 11 - once 12 - doce 13 - trece 14 - catorce 15 - quince I hope I haven't made any large mistakes. Native speakers, correct me please
