Hey
I don't know if any of you guys have followed this case. But in short Natalee Holloway has been missing for 2.5/3 years. No one knew what happend but one guy (Joran van de Sloot) just kept showing up in the case as suspect.. And this week a dutch guy (nonetheless) got the break through in this case: a full confession on tape, the guy (Peter R de Vries) is a crime reporter who has forced break throughs in multiple dutch cases and he did it again this time. It appeared to be an accident but here's the thing they didn't even know if she was really dead and they just dropped her in the ocean. The reporter sent a guy out undercover and he got a full confession not once but almost a dozen times did Joran tell in detail how it went, it was shocking to see with how little emotion he did this. He lied for 2.5 years.. A mother was worried sick, didn't know what happened, had to live in that insecurity for years and the way he talked about it.
Natalee got, it appears, epileptic attacks or a neurologic episode because she started shaking violently and he didn't even know for sure if she was dead. They didn't even check for a pulse, not even a real attempt at reviving her, and the way he talked about her and the case. How he talked about being able to use this case for his own (financial) profit and the way he talked about women in general. It was so shocking.. I litteraly had to cry when I saw how the mother of Natalee took in the news, how she had to hear that guy talking about her daughter, he called her a wh*** and a sl**.. I know it'll be aired in the US I believe tomorrow (monday) it just aired here a couple of minutes ago. I really hope that they'll be able to get him for this because now it's not only obstruction of justice but he could be trailed for murder he didn't know whether she was a live or dead when his friend tossed her in the ocean. It's so horrible... I really hope that this will be it.. Like the mother of Natalee said in the show: Enough is enough, this has to be it.
I'm ashamed that this guy is dutch, and it may be a bit selfish but I'm kind of glad that a dutch reporter forced this break through, proving that we just wanted justice in this case and that he's no reflection of our country.. I really hope they'll nail him on all possible accounts.. From obstruction of justice to murder..
If you're able to watch it and if you have or had in interest in this case I recommend you watch this.. A warning though the language and the things said and the way they're said are degrading, shocking and overall horrible..
