well my sister smokes and I don't know why she started but right now she's got a lot of stress and smoking helps with that.. It's proven that tabacco releases something in the brain to help someone cope with feelings (like other stuff you can get addicted on..) It's easier said than done it's extremely hard to quit smoking I wish she would but it's her choice not mine and not anyone elses there's nothing you can do about because it's her way of coping you can only suggest other things she could do or resolving the issues someone who smokes is coping with but other than that there's nothing you can do because it's his or hers personal choice.. My father smokes as well and he has done so ever since he was kid.. it costs a lot of money and it's bad for your health but for some people it's the only thing they've left..

well I mean you can forbid people to smoke in public but as for smoking as a whole there's not really a way to stop anyone from doing that you can educate them and offer them alternitives and stuff but in the end it's their choice and we don't really have a say in that, it's personal..

Chukwudi Obi Nigeria Smoking is a personal so when it involves a third party inhaling the smoke (second hand smoke that's what scientists call it) The second hand smoke is even worse than the one inhaled by the smoker. So tell me what good it is to smoke in public when the smoker constitutes nuisance to the public.I feel the no smoking in public place policy should be upheld.

Here in the Philippines, most public places and establishments adhere to the National Law - No Smoking in Public Areas/Establishments however there are still a lot of Filipinos smoking especially on Public Utility Jeepneys. I'm sure they are aware that it's not allowed so it speaks of their character not really of their ignorance.
I don't hate smokers but sometimes they're disrespectful and insensitive.
