Hello everybody, I don't know if we Members of YFCI, have discussed about this latter.... To be more clear it is about the Intersexual people ar the eunuchs in the society...
anyways, I have some questions for ourselves....
1. Do you really know what third gender means?
2. What is your opinion about them?
3. What do u think of people calling them names? have u ever did that? will you do that?
4. Some considerable % of the them are in Sex industry, (it is so in India to my knowledge) .... what do you think of that? aren't they worth working anywhere?
5. Do you think they are denied rights in the society?
6. what can be done to make the current situation better?
PS:-Actually I had a confusion in choice of the right word and hence i have edited this post again.

Let me answer the questions myself,,,,
1. Do you really know what third gender means? I guess yes, I have an idea about it.
2. What is your opinion about them? They are just poor humans fell prey to nature's mistake.
3. What do u think of people calling tthem in names? have u ever did that? will you do that?
I don't like it at all, i have never did that and never will.
4. Some considerable % of the them are in Sex industry, (it is so in India to my knowledge) .... what do you think of that? aren't they worth working anywhere? Sadly, it is true. government should look upon this issue and allocate necessary percentage of jobs for them in fields.
5. Do you think they are denied rights in the society? Of course a lot. they are denied rights everywhere, from Bathroom to career jobs. they are unwelcome everywhere. I feel guilty about myself, to be frank, i didn't feel comfortable while i had chances to meet them eventually. But again I think it is society's fault for they never taught anything about transsexualism and stuffs, really it is considered TABOO. (I have to tell that in a way my parents are far better, coz they gave me some basic questions so that i would search for an answer. Latter i l have my doubts clarified if i had some. PS:- My Mom works in a hospital as head nurse)
6. what can be done to make the current situation better?
This topic will be discussed and a final report will be made after discussions.

1. Do you really know what transsexualism means? Err yesh. 2. What is your opinion about transsexuals? They are people, like everybody else, that had the money to pay for surgery ! 3. What do u think of people calling transsexuals in names? have u ever did that? will you do that? I've never-ever done that and neeever will I think it's wrong, it shows a lack of proper education and how they don't value themselves and do not respect others. 4. Most of the transsexuals are in Sex industry.... what do you think of that? aren't they worth working anywhere? They are?!... I think it's not most of them.. And yes, they are worth working anywhere. They are equals, they are people, just like us. 5. Do you think they are denied rights in the society? Unfortunately I've never met a transexual Buut in general, yes, as people from different sexual orientations (homosexuals, asexuals, pansexual, bisexuals, etc.) they are denied rights in society. Did u know that homosexuality was so common in the Roman Empire they didn't care to mention it? -Fun fact* 6. what can be done to make the current situation better? As I stated earlier, I think it is based on a lack of education. We have to teach new generations (Lol I feel old, my generation is too rotten now to be taught anything else! ). At least for the next ten years (or as long as our parents' generation and older ones are alive) there will be no real change. I hope this disappears with time so we won't care about what orientation one has or not. Woohoo yes.

I'll answer these questions later.. interesting topic I'll tell you about an episode I watched of 'Law and Order' that had a woman that was a man, but she/he still didn't make the final surgery.. so she/he looked like a woman but still the main surgery was still not preformed.. and she/he made a crime which was considered as self-defense, but when they held her in prison they put her with men, considering her body! and she wanted to make them understand that she should be putten with women! but they didn't! because that was the law! and so after that the prisoners beated her and she was really injured! so I thought that was interesting to see!

In India the third gendered are humiliated in the society, denied rights, not given attention by the government at all.
And moreover some of them don't have Money for surgery and if u hear the stories about what they do instead, you will really feel sorry them.
I need all of us to contribute to this thread.... so that at least we can make some good decisions to be followed by our future generations...

Now here.... I just want to describe something i heard about the trans-gendered person's life. But it would really be better if a third gendered one writes about themselves... I came across this blog spot where a trans-gendered person describes her life ..... blog.360.yahoo.com/perfect_vidyajust read it..... Most of the third gendered in India are in this or worser than this situation....

1. Do you really know what third gender means?I can't answer that question since no one can ensure that you really know something 2. What is your opinion about them?Human beings, people. 3. What do u think of people calling them names? have u ever did that? will you do that?Never met a TG and everyone is called names, such as homosexuals (which some include in the third gender), black people, asian people, jewish people and so on. 4. Some considerable % of the them are in Sex industry, (it is so in India to my knowledge) .... what do you think of that? aren't they worth working anywhere? They're human beings so they have the same brain conditions everybody has so.... u don't need to have a penis to be a manager or a vagina to be a lawyer, just brain and will. So why the heck are sex organs related to that? 5. Do you think they are denied rights in the society?Nope. There is no law that says 'Third gender people must be kicked out of the bus' or 'Third gender people are always last at bank queues'. Besides, they don't go to the authorities saying 'Hello, I'm from the third gender, nice to meet ya, nice to meet ya!' 6. what can be done to make the current situation better?Be open minded. They're humans, it is pretty much no difference from us except from some sex organs problems. But any problem is critized by society like having legs in the arms and arms in your legs. It is just a minor difference. I consider discriminating third gender people stupid.

That is what you call being humble? hahaah Just 4 fun. You are right ||VoX||.of course.Never met a TG and everyone is called names, such as homosexuals (which some include in the third gender), black people, asian people, jewish people and so on. |
Now this is what you call being funny? I will give you a positive karma ;D ;D. I meant teasing them using harming nicknames. They're human beings so they have the same brain conditions everybody has so.... u don't need to have a penis to be a manager or a vagina to be a lawyer, just brain and will. So why the heck are sex organs related to that? |
You are funny but also right ; Again i donno about the situations in your country.... In India they are not given necessary rights; They are still considered inferior and not given proper care.Nope. There is no law that says 'Third gender people must be kicked out of the bus' or 'Third gender people are always last at bank queues'. Besides, they don't go to the authorities saying 'Hello, I'm from the third gender, nice to meet ya, nice to meet ya!' |
Technically, You are right, there is no law. But they are not easily (99.999% NO here) employed anywhere. they are forced to Beg or Involve in prostitution here. So what can they do to survive? If they are really not interested in working it's ok to beg or something; But if one is forced to do something they dislike, It should be stopped and the Inactive GOV should do something to help them, right??Be open minded. They're humans, it is pretty much no difference from us except from some sex organs problems. But any problem is critized by society like having legs in the arms and arms in your legs. It is just a minor difference. I consider discriminating third gender people stupid. |
You are completely Right ||VoX||. Thankss for posting your views.Karma's up.Ps:- I Know the LAW, ;D ;D

Now this is what you call being funny? I will give you a positive karma ;D ;D. I meant teasing them using harming nicknames. Nooooooo! Baddie, baddie ranjitharun! :S I didn't mean that! I said that everyone is given nicknames, of course I find them tasteless and unfunny but the point is that they have to cope with it just like every marginated group; WHOOP WHOOP! my intention was to give the feeling of including them into the other marginated groups and our own groups and societies to make them nearer to us...... well kinda ;D although it sucked big time Woohoooo! -36 and going down =) YAY! TY! How come u know 'bout the law?
