I don't know if u heard of this but lately a multimillionaire died in the US and left her dog 12 million dollars!!! now what is this dog supposed to do with this amount of money?!!! any1 might find him cute enough after her death to take it home and give it food and shelter!!!! alotta things could have been done for humans or animals with this money but no she chose to leave them for the dog!! (( ***** goes Rich!!!!)) that's what was in the newspapers!! Do u think such thing is right to do? another thing is the whole animal tested thingy!!! I know some things are cruel and unnecessary like make up but some medications have to be tested on them. Cancer treatments for instance!! I saw them the other day preparing cute rats for being injected with substances that cause Colon Cancer and then to be injected with possible cures!! the rats were cute already but a human's life is a keeper whereas a rat is kinda disposable, I think! I mean the breed faster than we do ! Do u agree with what some Vegetarians do with not using anything that is tested on animals?

I like ur points of view xD i can't believe a dog is left a fortune, that ironically makes the dog even more vulnerable. Animals do have rights but as ppl say, every right brings a responsibility. Aside from curing humans, we are able to cure animals and protect species because we have previously experimented with a few. While 40 may have died (testing), a whole population of millions of animals survived due to adecuated medical treatment and research. There are always the unlucky animals that have to pay the prevailance of others =( but i see it on the point of view of hurting a few and saving a lot rather than not hurting anyone (and having selfish self-sattisfaction) and letting millions dying but in overal, 'it is not your fault' because you did not hurt anyone but for the one of the worst crimes is omision. I kinda believe too that activists bias facts muahahaha =P Also about animal testing... mmm :S i'm not sure... if i was an animal i'd rather be a happy well-feed and well-care fellow test subject than being used for agriculture (as a buey), being hunted or eaten (a cow.... DANGEROUS!!!), or be executed due to pest control (rats or even disowned dogs) I think animal testing is much easier than those the objective there is NOT to kill the animal but to find cures to help other species in the future. Instead in hunting, agriculture or pest control... that's explotation :S I think like 100 million animals are killed by hunting each year!

I agree with both of you, animals have rights but when it comes to medical researches I think there's no other way. Animal-testing saves the lives of humans.
as far as what some veggies do, I guess that's what they believe in. I think make-up stuff shouldn't be tested on animals but medicines and stuff I think it should...

Well I think just because we think we're better than every other specie we shouldn't forget that all animals (humans as well) were brought on earth for a reason and that reason is not to serve human beings, we will pay the price for our "research" one day when nature is completely off balance due to our fault.. There's no animal that pollutes and destroys the planet more than human beings, no animal specie succeeded in rapidly (threatening) other species with extinction.. Besides that, I think that there are alternatives and I think we should use them when it's possible and we should keep looking for alternatives in the cases where we don;t have alternatives yet.. For example with schools why cut real frogs open? there are lots of websites that have virtual cutting so you know where the intestines are but you don't have to kill innocent animals for it.. Stuff like that just isn't necessary.. AND IF there are no alternatives at least they could put these animals in larger cages and make their short lives as comfortable as possible, we don't allow these animals even that if you look at what kind of cages these poor animals live in it's horrific and it makes me wonder if we really are that civilized..
By the way what do you think about killing animals for handbags or furs?? What about the argiculture (the farmers) who keep lots of animals in small spaces and don't allow them to go outside and kill and transport them in the most cruel ways what do y'all think about that? What alternatives/methods do you support...

well I don't support hunting just for sport, just for the fun of it.. But when you look at it, hunting for meat, restoring the balance in nature I don't see the difference with killing cows or pigs to eat...

i could only enjoy hunting if I did it for the purpose of eating it
dunno it seems a lil bit inhuman to me, just by enjoying practising abilities in living animals who did nothing wrong, just playing with them like souless toys and enjoying the shooting
even so every1 has their opinions
btw what is the diff between an ethical hunter and a non ethical hunter(*&{}p0090-++//--00

Well, by killing cattle we stop the methane release from these animals, which is really harming our atmosphere ! And we have always hunted (nowadays just farmed and killed) these animals for our survival, for just getting the necessary amount of proteins in our bodies, so... what Im saying is we should live frugal and kill only when.. we are hungry :s Ok, Im lost here.. Lost my thread of thought (lol). Hope someone understands!! I cannot find anything interesting in hunting animals or fishing either. Is it cool or something? Haha if someone could answer this Id be grateful!

Well , I think that hunting animals for fur and handbags should be forbidden!! We are supposed to love animals not wear them! Farm animals whose fate is eventual death cud be used for clothing purposes but not only for it! Coz farm animals will be dead after a certain time even the ones that are dedicated to giving milk , laying eggs or bringing new babies will end up being slaughtered! I have done my share of killing animals during bio class but that was for scientific reasons As long as it is for the welfare of humanity I think we shud go for it not that I mean animals are not entitled to some rights Hunting animals for food is necessary to some people but when u can go to any butcher and buy whatever u want there without needing to slaughter another animal then u shud go to the butcher instead of the woods!! This is what I think of hunting.....

well I don't support hunting just for sport, just for the fun of it.. But when you look at it, hunting for meat, restoring the balance in nature I don't see the difference with killing cows or pigs to eat... Hehe, well that's where we differ Hunters have a limit of what they can kill (lets say.. 3 ducks per day; and a week of hunting). The limit changes, depending on the status of the animal (if there are many). Lets say there are 5 million ducks (1-4 year life span) in the State of Wisconsin this season; then you might get to hunt 10 per day for a week (I'm not exactly sure what the current figures are). 78% of Americans support hunting, while only 6% average of the United States hunt (2% are PETA activists, and the rest do not hunt). Me personally; I hunt for the experience; I like being with my dad, and uncles; and it becomes a very social time. I don't exactly do it for killing, neither for trophying Hunting is not a savage "sport" where you kill and kill and kill. (see above ) btw what is the diff between an ethical hunter and a non ethical hunter(*&{}p0090-++//--00 Hehe. Good question Well, basically, a ethical hunter is someone who goes by the rules, doesn't hunt on people's property without permission (those who do are called poachers), and basically has gone through Hunter's Education (classes about safe hunting, how to use a gun/bow, how to be safe when other people are around you, etc). A non-ethical hunter is someone who does the opposite.
