TAKE THE TEST: Originally added to YFCI's Green Dream here: www.freewebs.com/thegreendream/howgreenareyou.htm(You will need a pen/pencil and a piece of scratch paper to complete this quiz. Your results will be used for future articles in Alpha Magazine, YFCI's publication)

Well, I got 21 points (Super-Green), but I think there is still more I can do to be a better eco-person. What were your results?

I am Green (16 points), I thought I would be only kind of green, but I'm happy that I did better than I hoped. I did find the site to be rather, not hostile, but pushy against those that aren't green or even super green. At the end of the lower two, they state "You need to improve." or "You NEED to change." without giving any information about being green.
I also found it interesting that this test is created by the YFCI.

Hi OE. Well actually I modified it from a magazine. It was printed in spanish, and I translated it (of course), and fitted it to be better for YFCI users.
So you think we should change the results? What do you suggest?

Hi OE. Well actually I modified it from a magazine. It was printed in spanish, and I translated it (of course), and fitted it to be better for YFCI users. So you think we should change the results? What do you suggest? I think along with the results, a link to good report regarding global warming to educate the test takers. Not the facts that were given in www.freewebs.com/thegreendream/thefacts.htm, those because rather obserd when it got down to the predictions. (We've raised 1 degree C in the last 150 years, but they thinks we'll raise 2 degrees C in the next 8 years? I've read I good deal of reports that we "over the edge" so to say, and they didn't go this far). The facts started with the source from the IGPCC and those were very good and scientific, but from their it went down to sourceing Wikipeadia, to no sourseing at all. I believe that something that paints a picture different than the media (on either side) is in order. Many on the left are trying to scare people into doing the right thing by exaggerating facts (don't get me wrong, I know the emense dangers of global warming), but you can't make the people follow out of fear, they will follow willingly if you educate them because they will know that you (and they) are right when confronted by those that don't believe. Give me a day or two, and I'll see if I can get some sort of draft to show you what I mean.

Hehe, well I guess the situation is different in every country. If you think that the quiz could be updated or revised, suggestions are appreciated!

Apparently I'm "green"
Which I don't believe. There's so much more I could do to be "green", which I don't do.
I cringed at the plastic bag section. The supermarket I go to requires that you use plastic bags they provide (some sort of anti-theft device, I assume).

Well, my friend, you should contact your elected officials. They have the power (and the responsibility) to take action.
