I just wanted to tell everyone that today is World AIDS Day. Thanks to Mike Munabi, for informing me.
What can we do to help stop AIDS?
Thanks Zach

oh also thanks to Amar for saying happy aids day in "his" thread. That also kept it going. The AIDS Day stuff has been taken down, sadly, since its over.

What i meant was that, not many people actually make it a day to remember. I dont know in your country, but it is in mine. I thought it's gona be a day full with red. The only red that i saw was the bells on christmas tree (Not being sarcastic, but its true). Anyway, the campaign should be for the whole month of december, as tomorrow has an event about HIV/AIDS awareness in my country. Well, HIV/AIDS campaign should be for the whole year.
Cant wait for christmas as many of my friends would be celebrating it. Yay..

Aha, now I get what your saying.. I think your right. It's the same here, basically. None of my teachers had even mentioned anything on Thursday (Snow Day on Friday, no school! wohoo). karma for you.

Fathi is right. There's hardly any mention about the World AIDS Day here as well.Only some news channels talk about it, otherwise ppl aren't even aware that Dec. 1 is AIDS Day.People do remember Valentines' Day though!Silly hypocrites.... Agreed AIDS campaign should go on all year round. It shouldn't just be limited to Dec. 1.Ignorance will only increase its incidence.People should make a commitment to fight AIDS whether its AIDS Day or not.

People need to know everyone can get HIV/AIDS..
