Andrea
Composition: from the greek Ανδρεας which derives from ανηρ (aner) "man" (genitive ανδρος (andros) "of a man")
Meaning: manly, corageous
Notes: If a girl is named Andrea, a name that determines feminity must be added to counter the primary meaning.
Nooo T__T my sec name means 'good' so I stay as a man

Post by Ranjith arun on Nov 1, 2007 15:51:36 GMT -6
About my first name, i didn find any info so i will write myself.
there is a story behind it. hahahah!!
the Equation is Ranjith= Ranajith= Rana + Jith.
in Hindi "Rana" means a severe pain which is caused by fierce fight. "Jith" is the name of a great wrestler in similar fights who caused "rana" to others. so they called him "Ranajith" and latter it morphed like "Ranjith" ( A bit too much for a name, isn't it?)
ARUN
Gender: Masculine
Usage: Indian, Hindu Mythology ( But am a christian !!)
Other Scripts: अरुण (Sanskrit) Means "reddish brown" in Sanskrit. The Hindu god Aruna is the charioteer who drives the sun god Surya across the sky.
Woaah!!! the Fiction ends.
