Hi friends. Sorry for not been able to post messages lately. Ive been busy with so many research paper. Anyway, those of us who are into volunteer work or who are into writing, may wish to apply for an international congress for writers and NGOs. It's time we share our best practice here in YFCI, don't you think. Let the rest of the world know what we are doing. Apply for bursary if you must. Here goes.

Between 29 June and 2 July 2008 more than one thousand writers, translators and scholars will gather for a manifestation of the value of words and in support of human rights.
Hosted by the Swedish Writers' Union, WALTIC will focus on three urgent global issues: Literacy, Intercultural dialogue and Digitalisation. The program offers a wealth of seminars, lectures and best practices. Among the speakers you will find world famous writers and literary translators as well as leading scholars and innovative poets – an even number of women and men.
WALTIC will take a stand to: Increase literacy, Safeguard freedom of expression, Strengthen authors' rights.

Deadline for on-line submission 3 March, 2008
2008 is arranged in close co-operation with: Sida, Swedish National Commission for UNESCO, Swedish Institute.
