What is Japan like? Is it all stressful and overcrowded as every1 say? I had been sceptical upon this until I watched at Discovery that new hotels have been created containing rooms (better call them capsules) 2 metres long per 1 metre wide with a tv, bed and bed table. This was made for businessmen who do not find hotels to stay in. I was like wtf? Can't be O__o Here are some pics I found on the web Various rooms. Looks like a morgue. Well, what do you expect for $50 the night anyway. Tech and tech Looks like a cage to me I'd like to know if someone had gone to Japan and if they could tell me a bit about how's it there. Ty C:

Japan has no real space for big hotels.. Espically, Tokyo. Although it looks uncomfortable, I wouldn't really know unless I actually went and stayed there.

Yes, it looks like a morgue =S or a hospital. It's scary. But yes, I heard is a small city. By the way if you don't have anywhere to stay... I think you have to sleep in one of these 'hotels'. I'd like to go to Japan someday.

wow I would never be able to sleep there afraid I would suffocate Anyway Japans seems like a very busy and space less country at least in the big cities. Good Charlotte made a documentary about Tokyo and Japan how they experience the country and their tours there they apparently love it..

They once put this thing on TV about ppl in Japan who are insomniac or too stressed to sleep that they go to places a bit more spacious than those coffins where they can sleep ....it was really goofy , I can not sleep outside my bed to go somewhere as tiny as those places to find rest!

I wud wanna go visit Japan but I dunno I wud rather spend the nights without sleeping than sleep in those "hotels"... but it's really interesting to see them use that, the world is really getting over-crowded.. yeah don't worry I didn't just realize that but well its creative for them to think of that, what can they do? Japan isn't exactly the biggest country in the world and so they need 2 figure out a way to contain ppl in small spaces!!

I visited Japan and I fell in love with. It is true that there is not a lot of space, especially in the big cities, but they just build up instead. Haha. Plus, this way, you get to experience big city life with a wonderful view of mountains and rice patties. Everyone there is so friendly that it is not impersonal at all. They all say "Hi" even if that is the only English they know. The "capsule" hotels are basically economy motels, so there are definately regualar hotels too. Japan is a wondeful country and I would go again in a heartbeat!
