As a Christian living in Malaysia (a Muslim country) some things I don't understand are how the sharia courts here justify some of their actions.
Like, if you are Muslim, you aren't allowed to change your religion - ever. Even if you change your religion personally, government documents can not legally change.
Is this supported in the Koran? Or are they taking it too far?

Like, if you are Muslim, you aren't allowed to change your religion - ever. Even if you change your religion personally, government documents can not legally change. Is this supported in the Koran? Or are they taking it too far? first of all, sorry for the late reply, I'll try to explain this as simple as I can, that is the laws of Islam, and they should be applied in each Islamic country, but not all countries apply not because they have other religions in every country. In islam, we can't change our religion, because many years ago before islam, we weren't muslims and so it's not our first religion, and that is why wecan't change our religion, because we consider it as the last and true religion from Allah, and living in an Islamic country, you can't officially change our religion as in for the official papers and all, but if you don't follow islam anymore so that means that you don't follow the rules of your country (because it follows islam) so what does it matter if the didn't change it in official papers. Now I've got to say that I don't much about those laws of Islam because they're not applied anymore, sorry if I said something wrong! hope this helped, I'd be happy to answer any more questions.

[/img] Today is the 4th day (In some countries like Jordan and Syria) and the 3rd day (In other countries like Oman) of Ramadan! Ramadan is a month in the Islamic calender, it is a month Muslims fast in, from dawn til the sun sets, we don't anything and don't drink anything.. Just thought I'd let you know.. if you want to know anything, do ask

Well, it is the month that the Holy Quran was completed. It's a holy month, Allah accepts the good work and doubles it from the believers. I hope this has answered your question
