Hello, this is God talking. Joking. Sooner or later, I had to post this thread here in YFCI . It is a necessity, I must say, and no, I am not gay. So here are the first questions that could spice up this ongoing, never ending, full of nonsense, tense debate: Do you think homosexuality is natural or unnatural? Why / Why not? Would you allow homosexual civil marriages in today's or future day's society? Do you think it is alright for a homosexual couple to adopt a kid or have a kid and raise him or her? Personal responses: -Totally natural. -Yes, these marriages should be allowed because, according to the Civil Rights Act, everybody has the same right as everybody to do as we please. We all have the right to get married. -I do think it's alright for a gay couple to adopt a kid. ...Oh, I just wish my son will be a homo (Joking, it just depends on how he or she is born like).

Do you think homosexuality is natural or unnatural? Why / Why not? It's natural, because it involves feelings and you can't manipulate them.. it's not as if they chose it they're born with it..
Would you allow homosexual civil marriages in today's or future day's society? Sure why not?? They're people just like you and me and they should have the right to get married
Do you think it is alright for a homosexual couple to adopt a kid or have a kid and raise him or her? Yes, as long as the home is stable and loving, I see no problem. Lots of homosexuel couples raise kids with more love and in a better way than a lot of straight couples..

I really agree with you all...(again ..am not gay. LOL). Well asking if it is natural gives only one answer, Yes it should be Natural. coz, as jenny said, no one can manipulate the feelings..., It is obviously not possible. About Homosexual civil marriages, who are the government to deny the personal desire of a person to marry someone he/she love ?? who are they to consider homosexuality as a sin or something? Again they should have given equal rights in everything...{this point really makes me question that if we feel that they are different from us}. they are of course people like us with different opinion in one part of life.... that should not be a problem... We should not expect everyone to love Beethoven's symphonies... Some may like rappers...but that doesn't mean rap is better than classical music. And also it is not a sin to love someone else..even though the ideal would be one. they should not be denied any rights.... PS:- "V for VENDETTA" the movie dealt about this case indirectly....

Thank you guys for replying! I agree with what you say, too. I'll make a longer reply about what has shocked me this last weeks about homophobia. Please bear with me . Thanks again!

Shouldn't be posting (17 days left for my exams, OMG!)... But your position intrigued me, Gemini. Could you please be so kind to detail why you think homosexuality is not natural and, consequently, all the other points you mentioned? I'd be grateful. -Btw, I won't be posting until November 14th, when the IB torture ends! Just to remind everyone again, I'll be adding a pic of me burning my History copybook Hope y'all like it!

hahaha! anyways well, u know where I stand when it comes to homosexuality but anyways will say it here as well. I think it's wrong, it's un-natural to be gay/lesbien! because I think it's a choice you make. Anyways I'm not much informed and I think my opinion is very small and I just wanna meet someone who is homosexual!! Seriously. I have like alota questions to ask, and to see how do they live/act (I know they're not aliens but it's just that this topic isn't discussed widely in here, and I've never met a homosexual, I'm sure there are homosexuals in the middle-east but as I said, this topic isn't discussed and so I'm sure people who are homosexual wouldn't come out with them being homos) Hope I cleared it out! Anyways, at the same time, I think we shouldn't discriminate against them, they're humans no matter what. It's their choice and being able to marry or not, we shouldn't discriminate against them

But, I do disagree that homosexuals are wrong, because I think it is a natural behavior that just happens. I do not think that homosexuality is the devil in human form, as some people think. As Noor said, we MUST accept all people as themselves! (PS: I'm not gay, fyi ) (PPS: Good luck with IB Vic!)

Thanks, Zach ! I love your position, Noor, not only because it intrigues me (although Peru is highly conservative, there indeed are homosexuals that reveal themselves as that) but also because you do not discriminate them, you know? THAT'S WHY I LOVE YOU NOOR SAID Lol, I act as a lesbian sometimes.. kidding! As I have said, Peru is very conservative and this is probably why I have only met about 3 homosexual people in my life, one of them being a close female friend. They are completely regular people that enjoy life and are just as everybody else. What is natural, at the end? Homosexual performances have been found in at least 500 different animal species (reference from Wikipedia, the Bible!). Even some researches have shown that some homosexual people show a bigger size of the hypothalamus and other.. brainy stuff I don't remember, but of course, these are just small studies and I would be wrong to say that this undoubtedly proves homosexuality comes physically, too. What I think usually happens (but haven't had the opportunity to confirm) is that one feels pressured to be in "love" with someone from the opposite sex through teenagehood, but know it is odd, it is not right... As homosexuals are a minority group in our society, they haven't defined this sexual orientation as an alternative and sometimes live forever as opressed homos . Boohoo. Aaaand well, this is all for today! Byeee* (Gtg study Maths and Bio..)

ohh, thank you!! I love ya too sweetie, ur the best, yesh!!! anyways I think we should talk about homos being able to vote or not. I was suprised to find sucha topic on VOY. I mean ok maybe alota ppl are against homosexuality but denying their right to vote is some how ridiculous! You can only vote if you're straight! *roll eyes* Come on, I think that shouldn't be a rule that they follow when they allow ppl to vote. I definitely think they should vote. I'm curious though, is there like a place (country/town) that denies that right to homos?

Interesting post Noor. I did a quick Google search, and found nothing. Anyone else find any information on countries/regions that deny homosexuals the right to vote?

A girl in my class had a speech about gay marriage and she said that there were countries were the death penalty will be given when proven gay there are still lots of countries that don't approve gay marriage and don't approve of being gay at all and in the last case jail sentences can follow..

Thats actually true, not all nation's government approve GAY marriages... and here in India, as long as the gay people's relationship is confidential, they wouldn't have a problem i guess, But once if they are accused of something they will be dealt by court... and sadly.... Most of the accused gay people said to torture other persons(unwilling ones, again it's a rape) and some are even accused of murder( mostly young boys had been made a prey in this type of cases) .... I guess, even though we don't have much cases coming out, we have the problem going on all over..... so the best way is to take steps to legalize gay marriages, so that at least there won't be any rape cases, children's safety is re-assured in a better way.... We have Killers mainly Because of one's in ability to control unnatural(again, who am i to call it unnatural ? ok, so unnatural to me) desires, so if we can approve it, then there should be less or nil problems... i guess. so the Gay people can find others who are gay and the risks in the society will be reduced..... GOVT. BETTER TAKE STEPS SOON!!!

It's about what is natural. Love isn't just, "I like your personality and your way of being." I have plenty of guy friends that fit under that title, and it doesn't mean squat. Love can't be explained, you don't know why you are attracted to your love. I don't know why I love my wife, I just do. I get such a joy when I wake in the morning to go to work and watch her still sleeping. Just being with her fills me with a calm enjoyment that can't be explained. Some scientists try to explain it as pharamones and other hormones that cause the attraction and that these chemicals only attract the opposite sex.
When you look at the stats, how many homosexual couples are there in the age group of 16-25? How many are there in the age group of 65 and over? It's the same with promisquity, it is something that mostly occurs with younger people, and not with older.

Of course we don't know about many homosexuals that belong to older age groups, because they belong to very older generations where they couldn't even talk about the subject and repressed any feelings of same-sex love... Fortunately, our generations are being more open and expressing how they REALLY feel.
Homosexuality is not something that comes from fashion, it's a third gender. That's it.

It is a sexuality. If you're Gay, you're still a man. If you're Lesbian, you're still a woman. Anyone who has you're not a man or woman because of you're sexuality, is hateful and fearful.
