hmm I don't know it depends on the person and how bad you want to change (which often is one of the things that needs to be changed; attitude) I've seen people change if it lasts is up to the person..

I think that a person can change certain aspects of his\her personality ... they will be the same person... better said we do not change we realize the person that we think we changed into is Who We Really Are... this person was buried under piles of other things :society , life , needs, others' perspective and so on but in a level during ur life u r just liberated and ur true self emerges . u become Who You Really Are * I borrowed this WYRA thingy from conversations with God , a nice yet disturbing book * People might , hell u might as well , think that u changed but the truth is that this is Who You Are it just took u a while to realize it.... So to me It's Yes we change but No we don't

I don't think people change. I mean it's hard to imagine that a person can change. I mean I think people can change some traits in them, some habbits, the way they think and so on but on the whole we don't really change. We remain the same. We just have to figure out what is our skin and just get comfortable in it.

I think people could change some aspects, but not everything. Maybe if some things happens in their life, things that help them to see the reality in another way, then they can modify their act ways and reactions. [mm... I'm in a bad day for english xD] i've always thought that people could only change if they accept they are changing negative karma!

If i have to answer yes, I should mention All members YFCI, especially Zach, for being the change and initiating it.
But majority strikes again... It is no actually.
People do change, but not all. Not many of them.
Mostly the ones, with personal Public interest change....
But that too, Not until something Happens to them or the lives of their respective habitat. ( I do Accept, after the change, Many of us start caring about all others Issues too)
I care about children in Africa, but watching the ones that suffer here in my country made me think about them....Coz they are much more severely affected.
Most of the people in the society are unaware of the injustice done to them... I have 1000's of people in my city who live their daily life in platform and the worst part is some of them are still ready to give their lives or take other's life, for the coz of their party or it's leaders.
we cannot make them understand anything easily, coz they are not well educated or not educated all.
But I have some of my (WELL EDUCATED!!!??!!) friends, who are Mainly software engineers, if i talk them about this issue, they will ask if i have anything better to talk.....
Here i agree with some one who spoke about greed as a threat in YFCI. well it's not greed directly in the people's part, it can be called us INNOCENCE of POOR people and IGNORANCE of EDUCATED ONES.
We are still ignorant of others, ultimately what we care is about is (IN ORDER) ourself, our family, our relatives, our friends, our neighbors, our city, our state, our country....
wasn't our earth supposed to be in that list? Yes it deserves the Important place, but to my sadness it is still not in the list.
Even in the global warming, All countries speak the issue now Because it involves their country in it.
Just think..... Will they at least talk about this, if it is only the AUSTRALIA alone or INDIA alone or AMERICA alone is going to be affected?
ALL ARE SELFISH...
BTW, I watched the Movie "The day after tomorrow" only the day before yesterday.....
I was taken aback. god!!!!! we are destructing the whole mankind silently now........
I have nothing else to do but to pray now..... I expect YFCI to do something serious about this!! I am aware that YFCI had taken steps but we need to be faster and powerful than this..
We will do it
JOIN HANDS, WE ARE THE SAVIORS OF THE WORLD.

change is inevitable. the question is how and what changes are essential at any given time. maybe, certain changes may not be the very best thing at that given time, but may also agree change is important. thats where we balance the argument of inevitable changes to desired and necessary changes!!

Can we define what is change? We all define it in a numerous of ways. Based on this topic I took the time to look up Change and found more then one way to look at it. So please do the same and there we can truly see what definition mean the most to you.
It is my belief that we all our capable of change. Yes I would have to disagree that yes we all change but how. We learn from the experience and situations we face. While reading this thread I looked at myself and said I said I'll never change but look where I am. After talking with friends and family I realize that because of my life. problems, and other things I changed. Just like we would walk don't the street at night or talk to someone, and then when someone tells us what can happen don't we change. We change day to day because we neber stop learning where we heading.
I would love to hear about people changed experiences.....

Ok...people change as they get older for the most part. That's a fact of life.
But--I could change each person who posted a reply here by giving them plenty of money to spend. LOVE yourself and you'll be a little happier with life and won't need any of this change business. I tried to change a person once but the change reversed when the old drug monster woke back up. Not love or money could sway that change stopper!!
