Oh, Whoa! I'm thinking of a different concert series. I'm thinking of "Live Earth" to benefit Global Warming (woops). Al Gore is working on that Find out more about L/E here: liveearth.msn.com/About the one Noor's talking about www.live8live.com/

Thanks DM N good day to all. BTW Al Gore reminded me of Clinton. If am not mistaken I think he was involved in a campign against AIDS. Prof. Elie Wiesel is yet another person to be inspired from. N this list can go a long way. A common saying by people all around the world is that," It is a rare and exceptional case that you can find people who are working to make this world a better place" but the fact is if one look hard, we may find so many of them. And this very notion is the reason that brings about inspiration. Peace & Love to all:)

Hey everyone! Um, I'm entirely new to this thing, so I hope I don't break any rules or flout any forum norms.
Also, I hope you don't mind me babbling 'cause I tend to do that. A lot. *g*
Anyway, I do agree with all of you that some celebs have been inspiring youths with their good deeds, but look at the big picture. For every single celeb who are promoting responsible driving, there are fifty more who are convicted of DUI.
I just think that the bad far outweighs the good in terms of celebrities.

Anyone else feeling furious about Paris Hilton leaving jail early?? Seriously these girls can get away with everything.. This way they're right about thinking they're above the law.. Anyone else would've been in jail longer, have no drivers license for the upcoming years... Same with Britney Spears (yeah sucks she had this big divorce and I can understand it's hard with the paparazzi but she chose to soften that loss with booz and partying with Paris Hilton instead of protecting her children) any one else would've lost their children already.. and the choices for those people are most of the time way more limited..
Oh by the way can anyone tell me what Paris Hilton's talent is??? She can't sing that's for sure..

I totally agree.. I mean I was shocked in the first place that she went earlier to jail -to show that she's ready and not afraid, I mean it's jail, it's ok to be scared of going to it- and then they let her out to any kind of other punishment -which isn't really considered a punishment- and I'm wonderng the same thing, what can she do? I mean ok she's a model but then going to singing and acting?? soo wrong!! the same situation with Nicole.. she's not even a super-model (she's really short) their fame isn't because of something they did, it's because of something their father/grandfather did.. and there you go, they're world-wide known.. but nobody knows why?

She's back in jail again and this time for 45 days! Wow there's still justice.. I mean common nobody likes to go to jail but 45 days and 23 days was already a minor sentence... She got arrested while driving drunk, without a legitimate license I mean common it was the 100th time or something she got pulled over for driving under influence.. What makes her so different from other inmates nobody likes to be there everyone's probably a lil depressed they're there but she's there for a reason.. She ignored the law and she should be punished just like everyone else.. (like she would really care about the fact she's locked up in her multi million mansion, what kind of punishment is that??) I'm curious to see what Nicole Richie will get she drove under the influence of marijuana and pills, some sources say alcohol was involved as well.. (she already had a conviction of being in possesion of heroine above her head) she drove on the wrong side of the high way Both could've easily killed someone.. So many people have lost their lifes because they got hit by someone who was DUI..

If paparazzi just wouldn't pay attention to this talentless girl (Paris) they could focus on the good things celebs do like the ones we all mentioned.. I like George Clooney he's awesome..

This is written by Ashok Murthy: These past few days have been very interesting. The G8 summit ends up with Mr.Bush refusing to believe that a hotter planet will not just mean a Hillary Clinton with a shorter skirt but a whole lot more. In other news, oil resources are dwindling, trees are reducing in number, coal production will be going down, water scarcity is showing its ugly face everywhere. But what the Earth has in abundance and will never go down is the number of stupid celebrities with their erratic and nonsensical behaviour.
If anyone hasn't already heard it is Miss Hilton or as she is more commonly known as Paris Hilton alias the over pampered, intellectually devoid, materialistically driven and blatantly stupid heiress to really bad parents. To begin with, a 45 days jail term was fair enough considering it was reckless driving under the influence (alcohol), of course one may say if stupidity was a crime, the death sentence would have been more appropriate. But what I fail to understand, not because of lack of intelligence but because of the absurdity of the matter, is how could a lady convicted for a prison term be let off after just three days in the slammer. Of course the judge ought to be praised and given a medal and appointed a UN goodwill ambassador for throwing her sorry over pampered over rich self back where it belonged, in jail. But seriously the entire judicial procedure which we all look up to to prevent a multi million dollar heiress from driving recklessly and endangering innocent and more intelligent people, was turned into a reality TV show.
On the other hand we have Mr. Akon, the guy who, maybe, loves women a little too much for comfort and his lyrics can prove this thought. He has managed to molest a 15 year old girl. If you think that's bad enough, the 15 year old girl happened to be his fan, at least till before the incident.
But I suppose what really got me laughing this time was Britney Spears. She happened to advise a elderly couple on the beach that star fishes are being washed on shore and told them to stay away. The headlines reads, "Britney spears saves an elderly couple from death". Talk about exaggeration.
So perhaps it is time the public and the media think about who to consider a star and who to consider as a mess. Censorship isn't so bad when all emphasis is not laid on people like Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Maybe 15 year old girls ought to think if Mr. Akon is really a star or just another man who loves women a little too much for comfort.
On this note I bid adieu and wish all these "wonderful" people good night and all the best in all their shallow endeavours.

I like George Clooney he's awesome.. yeah I agree.. as u've said paparazzies need to pay less attention to such things, ppl shud care less about such things and so there's really alot to be done regarding this but not much seem to rily wanna change it... the death of a number of ppl take less than a minute on the newsbar while some scandel about one of those celebs take 5 or more days and much buzz on shows like the insider and u find that everyong knows what has happened while the death of those ppl stays unnoticed!!

but let me say something, even though paparrazis are too much and all the bad thing that comes with fame.. but don't you think that they have chosen this life with its good sides and bad sides??? although some celebs are trying to change things for the better but what they get is people making up stories about them and rumor-ing about them.. I know I'm contridicting myself here but hope you all get my point

I get what you mean eventhough celebs are doing the best they can a lot of times paparrazi will rather make something up than write about the good they do I agree it's part of the lifestyle BUT what's not part of it is making up stories and chasing people ( it can lead to accidents Princess Diana for example) when people are in their yard or at private property leave em alone.. To stop paparazzi we all should be willing to not buy these magazins anymore..

I'm not that into celebs ^^UU they're just known ppl trying 2 live their lives and of course they're corrupted and evil evil evil, or do smth for society and are goodie goodies or just stay there in the magazine stance. I might sound quite cold but I think that celebs come in handy when trying to communicate ppl a message (like global warming and serious issues) when they're just not trying to drift ppl's attention from what the gov is doing

yup I agree with u, ur right.... celebs cum in handy when we wanna spread a msg but a part from that sumtimes like I wonder... that some celebs magane to keep their lives personal, I understand that sum cnt help it cuz they're followed everywhere...
I recently watched on the insider that there is a couple who have photographers following celebs, I mean Paris Hilton had like maybe 7 ppl following her, I mean what will we use from knowing what is she doing?

Yeah I know I mean if they want to write about celebs why not the truth and something positive focus on people who are trying to make a postive change, who are making a difference.. Instead of Oh No Paris Hilton kissed this and this guy, it's so boring
