Welcome to the boards Medha! Its absolutely gr8 to see you here! Thanks for your posts! You're right about the governments and politics. They can do a lot many constructive things, but sadly, they tend to go corrupt and misuse their powers.I agree with every word of yours.Too bad, the public isn't using its voting rights effectively and constructively, esp., in India, where most educated ppl don't cast their vote at all and rural ppl have to cast vote for a specific candidate by force. The entire system sucks for sure!

Ok, Noor: "Ms.Q".. His term ends in 2008, your right. Presidents are only allowed to run twice, which he already did. So, again, your right!

I don't know on what basis the public elects the government... Do they care to see for once, whom they're voting for and what that person would actually do for them and the country? It seems people are least bothered.Sadly, the right to universal adult suffrage hasn't been utilised by people effectively for their own good...

Well.. the thing is.. basically the southern and western (most) states usually vote Republican. Not to mention all the advertising they do on TV, tele-marketing, mail, etc.

For me, the greatest threat is greed. Greed for power and wealth. Greed causes poverty. Greed causes destruction of the environment. Greed causes violence. Why do you think some government invest in nuclear power? Why do you think there's global warming? A lot of people became too self-centered, too selfish. They don't want to share. They want to remain on top even at the expense of others.

Firstly, welcome to the YFCI Boards hekatea! You're absolutely right.I agree with you.Greed is the root cause of all the dangers facing this world, like wars, violence etc.Whatever you said is very true.

Globalization because the time has come when every individual recognizes his or her right of living in a free world and comfortably irrespective of our countries differences, this rate has generated beyound most government to tackle when everyone is fighting collectively for his or her right of living individualy, migration rate increases because some are not comfortable where they are and those comfortable found it easily difficult to welcome new arrivals. And when there is maybe something like industrial proliferation in a particular region, it affects climate due to constant airing of carbon and other dangerous gas in that particular region, and as well will authomatical affect other region direct or indirect because of it inproper circulations or something like that to the whole environs. Guess what will happens when there is increasing interdependence, integration and interaction among people and corporations in disparate locations around the world which refers to a complex of economic, trade, social, technological, cultural and political interrelationships among every nations. Infact time has come for people to start recognizing the world and not individual countries which will help bridge this differences so to embrace peace.

So Zach wants to include every single thing in the YFCI Blog?! I think we can use the posts in this thread, for the Member Opinions section or include them in the Member Magazine. Or maybe, include them on our Member Quotes page, which will be developed soon. I don't know really.I'm somewhat undecided.
