I think we should maybe change the "GoGreen Initiative" to something else. I guess there is another project called the "Go Green Initiative" here in the US that I just heard about from Google... any suggestions for a new name?

Hey!I was thinking that our campaign is focussed only on global warming and its effects, isn't it?So why not give the campaign a specific name that addresses global warming?
That's because, being green or going green isn't just about global warming.A greener world doesn't just require freedom from global warming. Many other things like pollution control and recycling are included when we talk of creating a green world.
I feel we should think up of an altogether new name for our campaign.Or we should either expand our campaign to other environmental problems too, if we want to have it for a greener world. This project needs more work, before formally going ahead with it.

Well then, this initiative doesn't have to deal with Global Warming. Lets just have it be about a greener world.. less controversy on our side. What say?

you do raise a gr8 point AA. it would be much easier to make only about 'global warming' but u see it'd be better if this was on nature-related-things... like pollution, global warming, etc.. and since global warming is such a big issue nowadays we'll focus alot on it..

Thanks Noor!I think we should see it for ourselves what we want to do.I think we should only focus on Global Warming at the moment.Having a campaign on all environmental issues will be too much to handle for now.It is too vast and too big. Let us keep it to global warming only and think of a new specific name for our campaign that stresses on Global warming.

as I was watching Oprah today the show was about 'going green' and it had really awesome awesome simple ways to do that.... like RECYCLE.... and also they encouraged using less paper and plastic bags since so many trees are being cut while we use them. the show also had some ppl and how they were trying to going green more. here are some of what they've done... a concerned person wrote a book called 'the green book' and it has more than 500 tips on how to be green! we should instead of using tissues and papers that we'd throw away and we're cutting so many trees while doing so, the best way is to use things that u can use again like instead of buying bottled water in plastic bottles we can have our own bottle that we can use many times! they showed a few celebs and what they're doing... like Sheryel Crow -dunno how 2 spell her name- was going on tour in a bus that has everything in it that supports the enviornment and also while preforming in her concerts there's someone with her that speaks about enviormental issues! chk out these useful websites that they showed on the show: - www.greendimes.com- www.treehugger.com lets go green everyone... every simple thing counts!

Those are great sites Noor! I guess I personally can welcome Victoria to the YFCI Staff! She will be the Project Manager of the "Green Dream Initiative". So here's what YOU members can do:
- Get together articles related to the environment and Global Warming. You can also write poems, take photographs and more. We will also need a logo for the "Green Dream". If we get more than one logo, we can vote.
- We also are collecting links to websites that are "Enviro-Friendly" or have anything to do with Global Warming. If you know of any custom-quiz website where you can create the results, please give it to us as well.
- Besides that, we also need some tips on how to live a greener life.
If you know of any, please contact me at zkomes [at] sbcglobal.net. I will forward them to Victoria. Thank you!
