Please tell me how's life like in the US?Tell us about the lives of common citizens in America.
Is your country, your life, your education system - all perfect, considering the US is the world's biggest Super Power?
What are the problems and concerns you face?

Life in America...
Well, I have lived in America (though now I live in Canada, though there aren't much differences). Life is good in America, and you can have a nice life there. Though, I think the way people think of America is way overrated. America does have many people living in poverty, our health care system is privatized (and it can costs thousands of $ a year for insurance), and our education system needs a big boost.
Just because we are the world's biggest super power, really doesn't mean all people living there have good lives.
In Canada, there isn't much of a difference : except health care is public and only Canadian degrees count here.. So if you come here with an Indian or an American college/university degree : it won't be regonized.
Though, still America/Canada are good places to live.

I have lived in the United States of America for my entire life. I will have to agree here with winmsn, America is a good place to live. I really don't like calling it "America" because we aren't the only "America". (North/South Americas).
The US is huge, strectching 9,631,420 km. Different living situations depend where you live. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; the 22nd largest city in the US. We have around 600, 000 people living in the city here, but it is pretty spread out. I Live in a mainly middle-class neighborhood, but Milwaukee is a pretty poor city. Around 143, 000 people are living in poverty in just Milwaukee alone, and 43% of that number are children (4th highest poverty rate in US).
But enough of the depressing info, my city is beautiful and I love it. Here are some pictures of Milwaukee:

those are really nice pictures Zach seems like you live in a beautiful city.. I have seen a lot about the downsides of the US like poverty and all that and I think you'll find that in every country we have poor and homeless people as well.. Anyways the US has always had something special to me on every coast side you can find something different and it does seem like the country where more dreams come true than in other countries I mean if you look at the movie the pursuit of happiness you got people like Oprah who came from a rough back ground and is now a billionare it's not something I'm after personally I'm perfectly happy with a normal life but I don't know the US does have something special to me and I would love to live their one day, or atleast to come and visit the country lol

ohk the river ROCKS!! I rily liked it alot! I sorta agree with alyssamilanofan for saying therez sumthin bout the US! I wud luv to visit it sumtime! sounds really nice. But dunno bout living in there! am so used to living in the middle-eastren places that it wud be nice for a change to see life in sum other parts of this HUGE world!

Hehe yeah! This world is HUGE, that's why we want all the "Life in..." responces we can get, right guys?
I've seen a Pursuit of Happiness, it's a terrific movie. Actually, the guy in the movie lived in Milwaukee part of his life and then moved to San Francisco.

Thanks for your replies all of you and thanks for all the info.It's true that every place has its own set of problems and issues.Just as no person is perfect, similiarly no place is perfect.
But still, the US is much better off than other countries of the world.The pictures are beautiful and I especially loved the river.Beautiful place to live!
Now tell us about your culture and all the festivals you celebrate.Places to visit, great monuments etc. etc. - just like we did in the "India" thread.

Well, America doesn't really have a "culture", there are many different people with different cultures in the US. As for holidays, different kinds of religious holidays are celebrated by different kinds of Americans, and then we have our government holidays like the 4th of July (Indepdence Day) or Presidents Day, etc.

I also lived in USA my whole life, and i live in Florida the Sunshine state the temp. never drops below 90 in the summer LOL, uhmm i think life in America is GREAT compared to what i have seen on my many travels around the world, i would never trade my homeland for somewhere else, oh yea, and i mean come on we have American Football here, who would want to give that up LOL

Yes, the US is great. There are many different opportunities here, and I thought I would share some of our historical landmarks.
One of our most famous internationally-reknown landmarks is the Statue of Liberty. It was given to the US by France in 1886. This statue has welcomed immigrants, and tourists for hundreds of years in the New York Harbor. "The statue shows a woman standing upright, dressed in a robe and a seven point spiked crown representing the seven seas and continents, holding a stone tablet close to her body in her left hand and a flaming torch high in her right hand." You used to be able to go all the way to the top of the crown, but that section of the Statue was closed because it was "threatened by terrorism".:

In Washington D.C. (US' capital), there is a big group of monuments called the "National Mall". In it, there are many different statues and museums including the Lincoln Memorial, The Smithsonial Institution, Washington Monument, among others. You can view the Washington Monument here:

Mount Rushmore is a monument carved into a granite mountain. In it is George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Thedore Rooservelt, and Abraham Lincoln.:
