 Life in Oman
« Thread Started on Mar 20, 2008, 10:38am »

Hey, well I thought it's weird me and Huda still haven't posted a thread about life in Oman and so I thought I'd start the thread to introduce you guys to what its like to live here.
Oman is a really quiet place. There are a lot of old forts here, and stuff. It has some cool natural places so I'll try to share some of them with you.

Starting off with Nizwa Fort since we live in Nizwa, here it is: http://www.omanet.om/arabic/tourism/images/nizwa_suq.jpg

You can see with it the Nizwa Suq and the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Nizwa. :)

Now Here's The Sulten Qaboos Mosque in Muscat: http://i.pbase.com/o6/93/628793/1/54811821.0zWbd8mT.DSC03246.jpg
It's the biggest mosque all over Oman i think, it really looks beautiful, I soo wanna go there and see it cuz when we go to Muscat we just see it from the highway.

Now here are some pictures of Salalah, it's like a really beautiful city, I've never been there cuz it's like really far from here but everyone who went there has said it's awesome:

^^ that's all for today, I'll try to post some more later on.
Enjoy ;)

Do what ever that may lead you to your goal. Because it is your goal, then you must realize that it is within your power to achieve it. It is so close to coming true and you know it deep within. Wait for none and explain to none why or what! Just break free from this life and its barriers! The beautiful sun shine is there, you just have to see it. Look closely.....

Hey I thought I'd update this, well here we go.
This is the highest mountain in Oman, about 3000 m high, it's called Al-Jabal AL-Akhdar, it means the green mountain:

Here's Al-Qurrum Beach in Muscat: http://www.omanet.om/arabic/regions/images/beach_1118-copy.jpg

And here's a water canal that is called Falaj, it's widely used here: http://www.omanet.om/arabic/regions/images/falaj.jpg

It's nice living in Oman. When you live in a small town here you realize there's not much to do or not much places to go to.
But it's alright, we have grown accustomed to the quiet life in here. But when you go to Muscat, which the capital city of Oman, there are alota things to do. Like any other big city.
I don't know what else to say about life in here. :D
